Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has congratulated the South African U20 team, Amajita, for winning the 2025 U20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Egypt.

He welcomed the team at OR Tambo International Airport on this morning, alongside Banyana Banyana coach Desiree Ellis and his assistant Helman Mkhalele.

Broos addressed the players, emphasizing their achievement and future potential, saying, “Getting to the top is easy but staying there is so much more difficult. Everything starts now for you. You are at a crossroads, to take the right direction and I hope we will see you in the next months, next year with Bafana … or maybe abroad.”

He urged them to adopt the right lifestyle and work hard to seize the opportunity to become professional footballers.
